Master Series with Ron RosenstockWednesday, November 14, 2007 at 8:00 PM NEW ENGLAND SCHOOL OF PHOTOGRAPHY Boston, MA 02215 Born in 1943 at Monticello, NY, Ron Rosenstock earned his MA degree in Photography from Goddard College in 1977. He studied with Carl Chiarenza at Boston University, and with Minor White in workshops and study groups from 1967 to 1973. Ron also participated in private studies with Paul Caponigro from 1969 through 1971. Mr. Rosenstock has published three monographs of his large format B&W photographs;The Light of Ireland (with Introduction by Paul Caponigro), Chiostro: Photographs of Italy and, Hymn to the Earth (with poetry by Irish writer Gabriel Rosenstock and Introduction by Carl Chiarenza). He is currently in-process of preparing his next book, Destinations, for publication. He has led international photographic travel groups since 1969, to Ireland, Italy, Morocco and New Zealand. He is the founder of Irish Photographic Workshops and is a principal destination guide and photographic instructor for Strabo Tours. Ron's photographs are in the collections of The Fogg Art Museum, Worcester Art Museum, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, International Center of Photography, University of Arizona, University of New Mexico, Polaroid Corporation and Castlebar Urban District Council, County Mayo, Ireland. He has been honored with numerous solo exhibits in the United States, Ireland and Germany; and, has participated in over fifty two-person and group exhibitions. He taught photography at Clark University from 1972 to 2002 and has been a frequent lecturer to social, community and professional groups, in this country and abroad. His book out it is called JOURNEYS and will have 50 prints that are all new color digital images.
