I discovered Millennium Park in West Roxbury while walking in Cutler Park in Needham, MA. I approached the park on the railroad tracks along the Charles River looking for the graffiti art, that is known to be on the RxR trestles. Standing on the RxR bridge the park stands majestically across the river. My idea for this project was inspired by all the dog walkers. I began the project from the dogs point of view by attaching my camera to the handle bars of my daughters outgrown scooter. After many laps around the circumference of the park at different times of the day, I abandoned that idea, for the pictures began to look similar.
Millennium Park is a beautifully renovated landfill with stunning vistas on 350 acres. If you start on the trails at the Charles River you circle up and around the hill. At the top you will find numerous soccer nets, a children's playground, and a nice field of green grass. Many park users come to the park during the "cocktail hour" to watch the sunsets, reflect, and meet with there dog walking friends.
