The Boston Neighborhood Project

I arrived in Cambridge (and in the US) less than one year ago. It was cold, and I was far away from home. I didn’t like the place at first, but then, gradually, things have changed.

Day by day, season by season. And not only outside.

The spring comes, and the spring goes.

So, I have tried to discover the soul of this new place I am living in. And I have found out it can’t be caught in just one word. When you are sure to have finally understood what Cambridge is like, then something you see or experience makes you change your idea. The Cambridge urban area is full of contrasts, of places that are so different one from the other that they don't seem to belong in the same neighbourhood.

This makes Cambridge so alive and vibrant.
