Photoshop 101: The BasicsWednesday, February 27, 2008 at 7:30 PM This first workshop is suited for people with no, or very little, working knowledge of Photoshop. The session will introduce the software, file formats like JPEG and RAW, and how to prepare your photographs for print or web display. Photoshop CS2 or CS3 will be used in the demonstrations. The emphasis of the workshop is on the general concepts of digital imaging, not software training in specific applications. While we will not have computers available in the conference room, all participants will receive a detailed booklet of the information covered, and sample files and tutorials on a CD-R for practice at home. The instructor, David Kelleher (www.davidk.net), teaches digital production at Emerson College and the New England Institute of Art. His recent projects include commercial jewelry photography, online portfolios for professionals, and the Boston Photography Center website. Workshop outline: - How do photographers use photo editing software? Date, Time, and Details: Wednesday, February 27th, 2008 from 7:30 to 9:00 pm. Class sizes are limited so please only RSVP yes.
