Colors of the Fall (2005)

Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 7:00 AM

This workshop is designed for those wishing to push themselves beyond just taking a photograph and the approach of understanding the art of photography. This workshop challenges participants to make images that have more in common with painting than with photojournalism. The two day's major themes are color and light, and how they can transform the most mundane as well as the grandest of subjects. Banafsheh shares her passion for the creative possibilities of color and her techniques for maximizing its effect. Filters, film choice, exposure, color temperature, composition, and fine art are some of the topics we explore.

The workshop begins with reviewing past work and sharing our photographic, artistic, and career goals. . Most of our time in the field is spent together, so that each participant can receive hands-on help with planning and making photographs on location. Expect the days to be long, intense, exhilarating, and rewarding as we learn to see the fall in a new, more intensely personal way.
